Integrity
Integrity is that quality of an individuals character that encompasses honesty, transparency, reliability and trustworthiness. It is a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. It is an essential requirement of both leadership, teamwork and service. It involves accountability, and respect.
Unless we maintain our integrity, others will not trust us and relationships will suffer.
Putting integrity into practice sometimes requires us to demonstrate moral courage, because our decisions may not always be popular. This is not always easy, however, doing the right thing will always be the right thing.
That’s why at Carmain Consulting, Integrity is one of our core values.
Fairness
To us, fairness is ensuring all individuals are treated justly, respectfully and impartially without discrimination or bias regardless of their background or circumstances.
As consultants and independent investigators, we are impartial and do not take sides or show favouritism towards any particular person, organisation or group, treating everyone equally and without preference. Being fair also means being objective, open-minded, and willing to listen to all sides of an issue before making a decision.
The term ‘fairness’ promotes trust and respect. It invites us to reflect on moral and ethical issues, particularly the idea of justice and how it should be applied in what we do. It is a strong indication of who we are, motivating and guiding us to achieve our best.

Respect
We strongly believe everyone should be treated in the right way. That starts with us respecting ourselves, each other, our clients, people we interact with, and our communities. It means treating others the way we want them to treat us and where appropriate, putting ourselves in their shoes.
To us, respect is an essential ingredient when engaging others and building and maintaining healthy relationships. It installs trust and promotes openness. Respect goes beyond being polite or courteous to one another and is about being considerate to others. It’s also about acknowledging and appreciating each other’s unique qualities, and differences.
It involves listening actively, and hearing what people say, asking questions, and responding with empathy and understanding. It involves appreciating each other’s different perspectives or opinions but does not necessitate agreement. Respect requires honesty and transparency, even when the message is difficult or unwelcome.
Respectful interactions encourage collaboration, openness, creativity, and innovation. When people feel respected, they are more likely to raise and discuss issues, provide feedback, and be more open to positive change and the views of others.
